EGLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. -- The 96th Medical Group’s critical care unit introduced its new tele-critical care program with a “plugging in” ceremony March 26, 2026.

The TCC program brings cutting-edge telemedicine technology to Eglin, enabling real-time collaboration between medical staff and board-certified intensivists from remote locations, according to Maj. Nicole Candelaria, the Critical Care Flight commander.

She said this initiative will enhance patient outcomes providing 24/7 access to critical care expertise, bridging gaps in resources, and ensure the highest standard of care for our patients.

“We believe this event highlights the innovative steps Eglin hospital is taking to improve healthcare delivery,” said Candelaria.
