EGLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. – An incident occurred today on base at approximately 2 p.m., resulting in injuries to two personnel. An ambulance transported the individuals to HCA Florida Fort Walton–Destin Hospital for treatment.
Okaloosa County Emergency Medical Services, as well as Eglin's EMS and explosive ordnance disposal team responded to the incident.
Damage is confined to the High Explosive Research and Development Facility. The cause of the incident is currently under investigation.
