EGLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. –The Department of the Air Force selected American Dunes Foundation to lease and enhance Eglin’s Golf Course and surrounding property.
The transition process announcement of the golf course to a public or private partner occurred August 2025. The DAF and ADF recently began negotiations to lease up to a 603-acre improvement project.
This project includes financing, permitting, development, construction, maintenance and operations through the DAF’s enhanced use lease program. EUL enables the Air Force to make non-excess, underutilized property available for compatible commercial development in return for lease payments to the DAF. The leases offer mutual economic benefit to both the Air Force and project developers.
