EGLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. -- The 96th Civil Engineer Group welcomed a new commander at a ceremony June 24 in King Hangar.
Col. Sean Stapler took command from Col. Michelle Sterling at the event.
“To the 96th Civil Engineer Group members, its an honor to serve along side you and a privilege to be your commander,” said Stapler, whose last two assignments were local at Hurlburt Field and Tyndall AFB. “I joined the Air Force to serve our country as an engineer and I’ve continued to serve all these years because of the CE community.”
Sterling moves on from the Gulf Coast for a new role at the Pentagon.
