Capt. Joanna Cooley, a nurse with the 96th Medical Group’s Critical Care Flight, inserts a large bore catheter into the chest of a simulated patient, Feb. 24 at Eglin Air Force Base, Fla. The large bore catheter is used to relieve a collapsed lung on a simulated patient. The Critical Care Air Transport Team performs sustainment training in a simulated aircraft environment to hone their deployment and emergency response skills under stressful conditions.
