On-base residents will experience a power outage Sept. 29 and Oct. 13 while the 796th Civil Engineer Squadron performs maintenance to the base electrical system. The power outage will begin at 7 a.m and last until 11:30 a.m. The outage is needed to change out four power poles on primary distribution circuits.

The contemporary, state-of-the-art facility will house flight medicine, inpatient records and public health. Trees and brush are being removed to make way for a new multi-purpose field and eventually tennis and basketball courts behind the East Gate shopette at Eglin Air Force Base, Fla. This is one of many renovations to the athletic areas surrounding the track and field house. All of the ball fields will be upgraded with new dugouts and fencing. One of them will be converted to a multi-purpose field. The concrete PT pads will be coated in rubber urethane. Also, a covered pavilion area will be constructed between Foster Stadium and the soccer field.
