Breast Cancer Awareness 5k

Many breast cancer awareness reminders and collectibles were available at the eighth annual 5k run Oct. 17 at Eglin Air Force Base, Fla. Eglin's health promotion flight was also providing information on breast cancer risk factors, symptoms and screenings. The event was held to promote breast cancer awareness and the importance of self-examination to catch the disease in its early stages. More than 200 supporters came out to run.
