EGLIN HURCON UPDATE (3 pm Aug 28) Published Aug. 28, 2012 By 082803 EGLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. -- Eglin is no longer in Hurricane Condition Three. NEW INFORMATION: The 96th Test Wing commander has directed that administrative leave and military passes are still in effect for Aug. 29. Although, those who wish to return to work tomorrow can do so. The dining facility and hospital will return to normal operations Aug. 29. The gym, child development center, gates and other base facilities have yet to be determined. Continue monitoring www.eglin.af.mil and Eglin's facebook page for further updates as they are made available. The base is no longer restricted to mission-essential personnel only. The Breeze dining facility will open for dinner today and operate at normal hours Aug. 29. The West Gate (Shalimar) and the East Gate (Valparaiso) are the only gates open Tuesday and Wednesday. All other gates will re-open Thursday, Aug. 30. The Eglin AFB Hospital will remain open with emergency and in-patient capability only. All appointments for Aug.28 and 29 are canceled, patients with appointments on those days are being notified by hospital personnel.
