Motorists should prepare for possible delays Saturday as Eglin Air Force Base personnel move an F-15 by truck from the West Gate on main base to the Explosive Ordnance Disposal school in Niceville.

The aircraft will be used for training by the school. The road closures are expected to occur between 3 a.m. and 6 a.m. Potential delays could occur in the northbound lanes of State Road 85, from Lewis Turner Boulevard to S.R. 123 for approximately 20 minutes Saturday morning starting about 3:25 a.m.

Both lanes of S.R. 123 will also be closed for approximately 25 minutes as the F-15 moves north to S.R. 85.

Northbound lanes of S.R. 85, between S.R. 123 and Range Road 213, south of Duke Field, may be closed for approximately 45 minutes starting around 4 a.m. The truck carrying the F-15 will then emerge on S.R. 285 and head south to RR 201. Both lanes of S.R. 285 will be closed for approximately 15 minutes.
