New traffic signal begins Sept 9 at Duke Field/85 intersection Published Aug. 31, 2009 By 083109 EGLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. -- The newly installed traffic signals at the intersection of State Road 85 and the entrances to Duke Field and the new 7th Special Forces Group installation will begin full operation Sept. 9. The lights will begin operating in a continuous yellow blinking mode Sept. 2 until full activation Sept. 9. Motorists should plan ahead for longer commutes as a result of traffic backups at this intersection, especially during the morning and evening peak traffic periods.
