UPDATE: Duke Field, 85, 285 to close for test mission Published Feb. 13, 2014 EGLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. -- Duke Field and surrounding roads are now open Feb. 14. They were previously scheduled to be closed Feb. 14 due to an Eglin test mission that is now rescheduled. A backup mission date is scheduled for Feb. 15. Details on times of closures and evacuations will be posted on Team Eglin's website and Facebook page. In the event this mission occurs Feb. 15, Duke Field can expect to be closed and personnel will be evacuated prior to 8:30 a.m. The base, Hwy. 85, Hwy. 285 and surrounding roadways to include range roads will be closed for approximately two hours during the mission. The 7th Special Forces Group facilities will remain open, but access from the East (Hwy 85) will be stopped. All employees working on Duke Field, to included 96th Test Wing, Air Force Special Operations Command and 919th Special Operations Wing, etc., should contact their leadership for proper reporting instructions.
