Eglin to remain closed Jan. 29 due to inclement weather Published Jan. 29, 2014 EGLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. -- Due to inclement weather, the installation commander has ordered the base to remain closed Jan. 29. Eglin will reopen for normal business at noon, Jan. 30. A base-wide recall procedure is underway to inform Eglin personnel. All personnel should monitor local television and radio broadcasts as well as the Team Eglin website and Facebook page for updated reporting instructions. UPDATE: The West Gate shoppette will close today at 5 p.m. and reopen tomorrow at 8 a.m.
