10/28/2011 - Staff Sgt. Brittany Lawson shows off a pair of socks that Mariya Kirichenko knitted for her during a lunch with three Babushkas in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, Oct. 25. Babushka is the Russian word for grandmother. Airmen at the Transit Center at Manas have volunteered more than 50,000 hours, which have been invested to Kyrgyz organizations and charities through the Manas Area Benefit Outreach Society since 2003. Lawson is deployed to the Transit Center as a 376th Expeditionary Operations Support Squadron weather forecaster from Eglin Air Force Base, Fla. (U.S. Air Force photo/Tech. Sgt. Tammie Moore)
