New dorms boost affordable housing at Eglin

Michelle Sterling, 96 Civil Engineer Group commander, cut the ribbon to commemorate the new dorms, buildings 820 and 822 for new residents at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida, July 23, 2025. Each dormitory includes 36 suites with 144 rooms per building. The rooms feature a full kitchen equipped with an electric stove, built-in microwave, dishwasher, and washer/dryer combo.
