Team Eglin recognized for crash response

Monte Cannon, 96th Test Wing vice commander, with the Meritorious Service Medal for his role as the incident commander during the aftermath of a March 10 UH-60 Blackhawk Helicopter training accident that killed seven Marines and four Army National Guardsmen. The service members were participating in a routine night-time training exercise when the Black Hawk carrying them crashed into the Santa Rosa Sound in Navarre, Fla.
